Sound Equine Veterinary Hospital is the Western Puget Sound’s only full service 24/7 equine hospital. As an LVT you will be responsible for providing treatments, preparing, and administering medications, performing TPR’s, placing catheters, running fluids, and assisting with diagnostics for our hospitalized patients. You will assist with an array of surgical procedures including but not limited to colic surgery. You will also be responsible for recording treatments and observations in medical records and reporting any abnormalities to the veterinarian on the case. Anesthetic and surgical experience is a huge plus! You will also assist in the general care and cleaning of our equine patients and their surroundings. We are team players, so you will have opportunities to work and learn in related departments.
Excellent customer service skills, computer skills, and equine medical knowledge are vital to this role. Your horse handling skills are key for successful candidates. Current Veterinary Technician Licensure is necessary but must be obtained within 6 months. Experience administering and monitoring equine anesthesia a plus.
Pay Range
$24—$38 USD
