The Cloud FinOps SME will assist customer teams in understanding the FinOps methodology and provide guidance on how to mature the organization in the FinOps capabilities. Anticipated responsibilities may include: * Develops and champions cloud infrastructure cost management best practices
* Partners with the agencies finance, procurement, & engineering teams to help measure and manage their cloud infrastructure costs. Be proficient with public cloud technology tools to help drive FinOps practices and methodologies. * Builds analytical models to provide data-driven guidance on cloud infrastructure spend. * Creates utilization and forecasting models to predict future outcomes of cloud infrastructure spend and usage. * Creates and maintains internal documentation on FinOps and cost optimization processes. Required Technical and Professional Expertise * 3 years of experience with Azure, AWS, GCP and/or Oracle cloud services. * 2 years of experience working in a DoD or other Federal Government environment * Deep understanding of CSP FinOps tools. * Experience with relational databases, data extraction, and data analysis tools. * Understanding of Federal Government IT procurement processes.
* Understanding of industry best practices related to Cloud resource tagging and tagging enforcement thru automation. * DoD Secret clearance required Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise * Previous experience with AF Cloud One program * A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) is HIGHLY desired.
