Overview

The Legends Country Club, located 20 miles Southwest of downtown St. Louis, Missouri, is a premier 27-hole private club that is hiring an Assistant Golf Professional.

The club offers top-tier amenities that include an 18-Hole Robert Trent Jones designed Championship course, a 9-Hole Gary Kern designed course, a new short game practice facility which includes a large practice putting green, chipping green with course like bunker, driving range, and an indoor Trackman facility.

Previous private country club experience is beneficial but not mandatory. The Golf Staff will lead the charge with the W.

E.F principles, Warm Welcomes, Exceptional Experiences, and Fond Farewells. This is a full time year around position that requires 5-6 days per week in season (March 15-November 31) and 4-5 days per week in off season (Dec 1-March 15).

Experience Required

With a strong team in place, our staff can adapt with the experience a new hire brings to the organization.

• Jonas POS Management knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge on Golf Genius Management Software
• Experience with PGA Jr League
• Exposure to fundamental instruction philosophies

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure that each Member and guest receives outstanding service in a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of guest service.
• Empowered to guarantee total Member satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our Members at all times, take pride in representing The Legends Country Club professionally with our Members and guests, and ensure that all transactions are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
• Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for team members, Members, and guests at all times.
• Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Legends Country Club team members to foster and promote a positive working environment.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Club policies, procedures, and standards of service to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
• Meet departmental productivity, organization, punctuality / attendance, and consistency standards.
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
• Treat Members, guests, vendors, customers, and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times.
• Maintain the privacy of our Members at all times.
• Ability to teach when time allows.
• Manage daily operations with an emphasis on attention to detail.
• Provide a gracious, welcoming environment.
• Administer tournament operations using Golf Genius software.
• Contribute new ideas to elevate the golf operation.
• Assists with the junior golf program and other junior golf activities.
• Assist and oversee outside service staff.
• Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Head Golf Professional.
