Overview

The Ridge Club is located in Sandwich, Massachusetts, the oldest town on Cape Cod. The spirit of tradition and laying down of strong roots has reinforced the success the club has had since established in 1989.

The Robert Von Hagge golf course design is highlighted by beautiful fescue covered mounding, elevation change and the signature 17th hole island green.

The course provides a consistent and exceptional experience for golfers of all abilities as it weaves through its gated community.

The club has 400 members including 285 golfing members that play approximately 20,000 rounds annually. The majority of those rounds are in the Summer months.

Position Concept :

Assist the Head Golf Professional with the day-to-day operation. Duties would consist of but not limited to overseeing the Ladies Tournament Operations, assist with the Men’s & Outside Events, assist in the Instructional Programs, oversee the Junior Golf Program and provide exceptional service to all members and guests.

The Assistant Golf Professional will be encouraged to play golf with the Membership and in Chapter / Section events. We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated individual that will play an active role in the Golf Operation.

Experience Required

• High School Graduate
• Previous Private Club experience preferred
• PGM Level 1 or higher in good standing preferred

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

• Assist in the day to day golf operation in the absence of the Head Golf Professional
• Must be highly motivated and in pursuit of becoming a Head Golf Professional.

Tournament Operations :

• Oversee all 18 hole ladies, 9 hole ladies and mixed events; meeting with tournament chair’s to establish budgets, formats & awards.
• Assist with all Men’s & Outside events.
• Assist with selecting and purchasing awards for club tournaments.
• Assist in the coordination with tournament chairperson and food and beverage department.

Golf Shop Buyer / Manager :

• Create Visual merchandise displays
• Shipping, Receiving Merchandise for Golf Shop
• Provide Customer Service answering phone, booking tee times, tournament registration
• Assist with tournament billing and accounting management
• Sales Associate

Teaching :

• Provided private golf lessons.
• Assist in the Instructional Programs.
• Trained on Trackman

Junior Golf :

• Oversee the Junior Golf School and clinics
• Implement, manage and direct Junior Golf Tournaments and Junior Club Championship
• Perform Junior Golfer Certifications / Evaluations

Member Services :

Provide any and all services for members - promoting and maintaining the exceptional Ridge Club experience
