Tonto Verde Golf Club is a member-owned private club located just 25 minutes from Scottsdale. We offer two premier championship 18-hole courses that are surrounded by gorgeous mountain views and the Tonto National Forest.

The outside services position at Tonto Verde Golf Club is an integral part of creating a positive, memorable, and enjoyable golf experience.

This integral position at the Club serves as the first and last impression of the club and sets the mood for a person’s day at Tonto.

One may say that this position is the friendly face of the club, so smile and enjoy the ride. Tonto Verde prides itself on personal service by anticipating the members and their guests needs and working with the TEAM to create an experience that is second to none.

Your primary responsibility is to enjoy your time in an ideal climate and culture with other fun and friendly people all working to create positive, memorable experiences, for each person that we come into contact with.

Experience Required

Private club experience is preferred but not necessary for the right candidate

Essential Responsibilities

Bag Room

• Prepare the bag room for daily operations
• Organize and keep track of bags in storage
• Maintain a tidy and organized area with your fellow team members
• Anticipate needs by tracking upcoming play through the use of Foretees system
• Ensure safe golf cart use and cleanliness
• Clean all golf clubs after use
• Assist with parking, unloading bags and cart staging
• Coordinate with all members of the golf staff to create exceptional experiences
• Manage the rental clubs
• Keep work areas neat, orderly, and professional-looking
• Assist with the set-up and administration of golf tournaments and events

Shoe Room

• Shoes are cleaned and shined, with fresh spikes in a prompt and timely fashion.
• Station is cleaned throughout the day
• Supplies are organized, cleaned, refilled, and reordered for success daily

Practice Facility

• Prepare the Practice Facility for daily operations
• Keep the Practice Facility stocked with clean practice balls
• Maintain Practice Tee amenities and cleanliness
• Clean Member & Guest clubs

Skills & Abilities Required

• High School Degree or equivalent
• Personable, approachable and socially engaging
• Ability to use rational thinking to solve problems
• Ability to provide and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently
• Detail-oriented and able to prioritize workload, managing multiple tasks simultaneously with limited supervision
• Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work a combination of weekends and weekdays
• Ability to be a self-starter whereby little supervision is required in order to accomplish tasks
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced working environment
• Desire to integrate quickly with a team to accomplish operational goals
• Demonstrated ability to safely drive automobiles
• Ability to perform moderate physical work; may be required to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 20 pounds constantly
• Ability to perform activities such as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping for up to five hours without sitting
