Phaxis LLC is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Manhattan, NY

We are seeking temporary Dental Assistants to join our team. Temping offers flexible schedules and high pay. All dental specialties available. Temporary positions available throughout Long Island and the 5 boroughs. Temping offers flexible hours and the opportunity to earn extra money on your own schedule. Excellent above average compensation. COVID safe! Your safety is our priority!
Locations throughout Suffolk, Nassau, Queens and Manhattan

Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and documentation using electronic health record systems such as CAD and Epic
- Assist with dental lab tasks such as pouring models and trimming temporary crowns
- Conduct patient assessments including taking vital signs and medical history
- Perform basic dental procedures such as fluoride treatments and sealant applications
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient records

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- Current certification in dental radiography (X-ray certification)
- Knowledge of medical coding and insurance billing processes
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically CAD and Epic
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages, especially in a pediatric setting
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
