Seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Financial Services Technology Specialist with over 10 years of experience in financial services technology in application support, ideally within investment management. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, with a focus on application support and release management. Additionally, experience with Cloud technologies is essential. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our investment management applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Support:

• Provide expert-level support for investment management applications, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to applications and systems, collaborating with development teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor application performance and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime or degradation.
• Experience with Python and SQL.

Release Management:

• Oversee and manage the release management process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating application releases and updates.
• Ensure smooth deployment of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes while minimizing disruption to production environments.
• Develop and maintain release management documentation, including release plans, deployment procedures, and rollback plans.

SDLC Management:

• Apply a comprehensive understanding of the SDLC process to guide the development, testing, and deployment of financial applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, quality assurance, and business analysts, to ensure alignment with SDLC best practices.
• Participate in the design and review of technical specifications, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to industry standards.

Cloud Experience:

• Utilize Cloud technologies to enhance application performance, scalability, and resilience.
• Implement and manage Cloud-based solutions for application hosting, data storage, and disaster recovery.
• Stay current with Cloud trends and technologies to recommend and integrate innovative solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure technology solutions align with investment management goals.
• Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within application support and release management.
• Evaluate and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in financial services technology in application support, with a strong focus on investment management systems.
• Proficient in the SDLC process and best practices.
• Extensive experience in application support and release management.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Familiarity with financial services applications and investment management platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
