In this role, you will leverage your deep expertise in Java development to guide and mentor our development team, ensuring that best practices in coding, architecture, and financial services compliance are adhered to. Your focus will be on reviewing code, providing architectural guidance, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Code Review and Guidance:

• Conduct thorough reviews of code produced by development team members, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and design patterns.
• Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improving code quality and performance.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers, offering guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.

Architectural Oversight:

• Design and oversee the implementation of scalable and maintainable software architecture that aligns with business goals and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.
• Ensure that architecture decisions support long-term sustainability and scalability of the software.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure that software solutions comply with financial services regulations.
• Work with compliance teams to understand regulatory requirements and integrate them into the development process.
• Review and update documentation to reflect compliance measures and risk management strategies.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with other architects, developers, and business analysts to align on project goals and technical strategies.
• Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making processes.
• Provide regular updates on code review outcomes, architectural decisions, and compliance status to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Java development, with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating your technical expertise.
• Proven experience in code review, architectural design, and technical mentoring.
• Familiarity with financial services compliance, or with Actimize.

• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in Java and related technologies (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs).
• In-depth understanding of software architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture).
• Experience with financial services applications and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of best practices for secure coding and risk management.
