Phaxis LLC is Hiring a Travel MRI Tech Near Louisville, KY
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel contract position in Louisville, Kentucky. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse adult and geriatric patient population, performing approximately 1,000 MRI exams per month, primarily focusing on MRI Brain and Spine diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations and procedures as per physician orders.
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Monitor patient condition during procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Utilize Epic Charting system for accurate and timely documentation of procedures.
- Adhere to established protocols and safety standards.
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
- Current and valid ARRT (MRI) certification.
- Active Kentucky state licensure as an MRI Technologist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency in Epic Charting system preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MRI principles, techniques, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patients is preferred.
