Phelps Health is Hiring an Inventory/Distribution Team Lead Near Rolla, MO

General Summary

The Clinical Inventory and Distribution Team Leader is responsible for leading the Central Service team in the daily operation of inventory, and distribution of all clinical supplies and equipment throughout the Phelps Health network. This position works closely with the Procurement staff in ordering product and the staff of all clinical departments in coordinating inventories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Gives work direction, resolve problems, and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of all work to direct reports
Establishes, analyzes and maintains efficient and cost effective inventory levels.
Requests orders for inventories; monitoring backorders and stock outs.
Arranges stock for optimum access, conducts scheduled physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy of inventory levels and discarding inventory that may be outdated or no longer available for sale or use.
Coordinates team in scheduling stock and equipment deliveries throughout the facility, checking accuracy of work performed.
Leads team in cleaning department and floor supply carts ensuring the cleanliness and safety of all areas.
Reviews inventory issues and patient charges reports for accuracy and makes corrections as appropriate.
Assists with product recalls by collecting and packaging equipment/supplies for return or exchange per the vendor instructions and maintaining all correct documentation following the hospital Product Recall Process.
Participates in establishing and achieving the departmental process improvement plans.

Job Qualifications

Education
- Associates’ degree in business administration, engineering, science or a related Field required. Equivalent applicable work experience will be considered in lieu of education.
Work Experience
- Five years of inventory and distribution management, sterilization and processing experience.
Certification/License
- Certification approved by Director of Supply Chain in consultation with Human Resources, required.

Mental/Physical Requirements

Work can be moderately stressful, requiring periods of concentrated effort. Requires the visual acuity sufficient to read and prepare delivery tickets, labels and maintain inventory records. Requires the physical ability to stoop, bend, and transport self, carts, and medical equipment through hospital at least 50% of the shift. Must be able to lift 35lbs. Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately, deal efficiently with a wide variety of individuals, work independently and prioritize activities.
