Philanthropy Tank is a nonprofit organization that empowers and inspires the next generation of CHANGEmakers, by challenging and equipping teens (8th-11th grade) to implement sustainable service-driven solutions to problems affecting our communities while developing youth leaders.

Our ideal candidate will be an energetic, self-starter who will mentor our students, execute our curriculum, guide program development, and initiate Philanthropy Tank Clubs throughout the School District of Palm Beach County.

Since our inception in 2016, we have reached the following milestones:

  • Over 1,000 Students served annually.
  • 75 Launched and sustainable student-run and student-led programs
  • Annual Curriculum of personal and professional development
  • 85% of programs still active
  • 44% of programs have become independent 501c3 organizations.
  • Students have received national recognition for their programs.

Expectations

  • Identify and meet the leadership at public and private schools, and relevant organizations to establish rapport and cultivate working relationships and partnerships.
  • Contact school-based and independent college counselors, directors of community service and equity/inclusion, DECA/Business/Entrepreneurship teachers, Junior Achievement, YEA, places of worship, faith-based organizations, etc. to promote program. Track contacts, progress, and outcomes.
  • Promote, educate, and raise awareness of Philanthropy Tank within the community.
  • Identify potential leaders of skill development workshops for students
  • Gauge feasibility of summer workshops to engage students in developing project ideas related to community service, activism, and entrepreneurship.
  • Manage alumni task force committee and serve as staff liaison.
  • Work with student cohorts to monitor and guide their program development and implementation.
  • Manage website updates with student blogs, student program descriptions.

Key Deliverables

  • Develop specific outreach materials (traditional and digital.)
  • Update Outreach plan
  • Submit monthly updates to CEO
  • Meetings and introductions as opportunities arise.
  • Coordinate mid-year and annual student reviews.
  • Assist with operational responsibilities such as updating database records and website maintenance.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree with 3 years' experience in nonprofit, education or related field
  • Prior experience in youth/teen environment preferred.

Salary - $50,000 plus benefits
