Job DescriptionR&D Principal Engineer - Medical Device NPI (Plymouth, MN)As a Principal Engineer you will support new product development programs aimed at treating vascular diseases from our Plymouth, MN office.
Your role:
- Executing research and development activities from the concept stage of product development through Commercialization. In addition to project-related activities, you will also assist in the development of the Philips Image-Guided Therapy Devices (IGTD) QMS design controls process.
- Leading and supporting detailed design and testing of development and commercialized products, ensuring that product designs meet specifications, and identifying and recommending solutions for complex technical issues.
- Conducting product idea development, prototyping, product specification development, test method development, test protocol and report writing.
- You’ve acquired 10 years of experience in New Product Introduction, R&D Engineering or Sustaining Engineering.
- Your skills include strong knowledge and experience with design control, statistical analysis, and technical writing skills.
- You’ve supported single use medical devices that integrate electrical components (IEC 60601).
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or related professional experience.
- You’re an excellent communicator, have strong documentation skills, have proven leadership experience and have a coaching/mentorship mindset.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.
- Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Plymouth, MN.
