Summary:

The Business Development Coordinator supports the Business Development Manager in executing business development and marketing strategies for a designated market segment or region. This role focuses on assisting with the planning, research, and coordination of activities aimed at expanding the company’s customer base and supporting its overall growth objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of objectives and strategies that support the company's business development goals under the guidance of the Business Development Manager.
  • Conduct preliminary research to identify potential customers and assist in prioritizing targets for the assigned market segment or region.
  • Support the preparation and execution of action plans for specific business development targets.
  • Help in the creation and refinement of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials, under the supervision of the Business Development Manager.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to ensure client needs are met prior to contract execution, acting as a liaison between clients and the company.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by the Business Development Manager and management team.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but may coordinate projects or tasks involving other departments or team members as directed by the Business Development Manager.

Requirements:

  • Previous Client Experience. At least 2-5 years within Power and Regulated Utilities.
  • Knowledge and overall understanding of the Energy Industry.
  • Communicates client interest and drivers to projects team members

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is advantageous but not required.
  • At least three to five years of experience in a business development or related role, preferably within the construction or engineering sectors.
  • Experience working under the direction of a senior business development professional or team, with a demonstrated ability to support complex sales processes and client engagement strategies.
