Thorough understanding of Colossus Mission and Values

Some experience in a cafe environment, serving specialty coffee. Ability to dial in coffee, discern flavors, pour latte art

Experience working leading in a fast paced casual restaurant/cafe environment. Thorough understanding of day-to-day operations in Service Department

Basic knowledge of day-to-day operations in Food and Bakery Department.

Interest or experience in B&W space. Interest in natural wines, craft beer, seasonal cuisine. Experience serving ordering alcohol is preferred.

Willingness to constantly learn, be coached, and accept feedback

Delegating tasks to team and ensuring their completion

Dialing in and tasting coffee

Providing feedback to team in an empathetic and intentional manner

Training team on coffee, policies and procedures, service

Daily and weekly reports to management/ownership

Tracking inventory of paper products, coffee, retail, and other service dept supplies

Placing orders with suppliers and/or communicating needs to other dept leads

Ensuring quality control of all beverages

Representing the company’s mission, vision, and values to your team

Clear and open communication with your Team

Inventory of beverages including but not limited to coffee, beer, wine.

Creating and implementing systems to ensure the success of service and your team.

Interviewing and hiring team members.

Training, providing regular feedback and occasionally disciplinary action to team.

Upholding standards of excellence in terms of team interactions, customer interactions quality.
