The Finance Team and Your Role:
This opportunity will be a part of a cross-functional team led by our CFO and VP of Accounting. Phoenix Capital Group is growing fast, and we need a team member that will be able to help develop and manage multiple priorities while working in a fast-paced environment.
You will be involved in the fastest growing segment of the company, its non-traditional capital raise. Phoenix has changed the way that companies are traditionally financed by launching a direct to consumer debt security. This role is pivotal in ensuring investors and their investments are appropriately accounted for, interest is paid correctly and timely, maturities are being tracked, and new investments are added to the cap. tables daily.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. As Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in the financial processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and supporting the growth and success of our organization. This position presents an excellent opportunity for upward mobility and career advancement.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including AP/joint interest billings, cash receipts, revenue recognition and fixed assets
· Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly reconciliations of key general ledger accounts
· Oversee the preparation of balance sheet and income statement fluctuations
· Assist in producing quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting packages in accordance with US GAAP
· Research, interpret and prepare technical accounting memos summarizing transactions and the related accounting literature and conclusions
· Support annual audits and quarterly reviews, providing documentation and explanations as required
· Support the execution and implementation of various financial projects and system initiatives
· Continuously assess and enhance accounting processes to streamline operations and increase efficiency
· Assist in the creation of forecasts and budget-to-actual variance analyses
· Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting Department with a high quality of work
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA is a plus.
· Public accounting experience preferred
· Excellent attention to detail
· Strong knowledge of US GAAP
· Ability to work under pressure, both independently and in collaboration with others
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and strong ethical standards
· Possess excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills, and be able to communicate proactively and effectively with all levels of management.
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
· Proficient in ERP/accounting software
