Job SummaryThe Product Manager for Field Device Connectors has the responsibility for the complete product lifecycle from the initial product definition through end of life. Responsibilities includes creation of product road maps, identifying market opportunities, defining product requirements, establishing pricing and forecasting, supporting development teams, and managing development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination of resources for development projects
- Create and implement product roadmaps that align with the strategic plan of the business unit.
- Manage the complete product lifecycle
- Establish and maintain a pricing strategy
- Travel to industry events, customers and subsidiaries to obtain data and support product launches
- Assist in the creation of global marketing campaigns for assigned products
- Experience with managing connector products is preferred.
- BS Degree in Engineering or a Business Administration Degree in Marketing/Sales.
- MBA and/or relevant professional certifications preferred but not required.
- 10 ( ) years of relevant professional level experience preferred.
- Knowledge of current project and product management procedures and the proven ability to implement them, as demonstrated by completion of the PDMA New Product Development Professional (NPDP) or equivalent certification or experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplined, international and cross-culture teams in a product development project.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Proven track record of problem solving by analyzing situation and providing recommended path forward.
- Experience with the creation and negotiation of business contracts is a plus.
- Leadership, mentorship, and training skills.
- Demonstrated experience applying project management tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of corporate and industry standards
- Must be able to travel by air for trips up to 12 hours, including international travel. Must be able to receive a passport
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to ride in a car for 6 hours at a time.
- Must be able to work at a desk with a computer for up to eight hours per day.
- Must be able to sit/and or stand for extended periods of time (2-4 hours at a time).
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
