We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Social Responsibility Assistant to assist team members with development and execution of Suns and Mercury community programming.
This position will require in-office attendance and is expected to be available from September until at least the end of the NBA playoffs (June), with a possible extension based on the needs of the organization through the WNBA regular season (September). The position also has the potential to be renewed / extended based on the performance of the selected individual. Regardless of anticipated duration, the incumbent’s employment will be considered at-will and can be terminated at any time by either party for any reason.
What You Will Do
  • Assist with development and execution of Suns and Mercury community programming and events
  • Assist with planning, execution and tracking of team member volunteer opportunities
  • Manage ticket and memorabilia donations to the community
  • Manage the sponsorship request giving process to ensure requests are reviewed, tables are filled, and ads are created in a timely manner
  • Assist with executing autograph sessions and maintaining donation and promotional item inventory
  • Respond to community requests for support
  • Maintain and organize storage areas
  • Manage internal and external community support communication
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager
What We Need From Our Social Responsibility Assistant
  • Experience working cross-functionally to coordinate projects, programs and events
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented, intuitive, a self-starter, diplomatic, have the ability to manage projects & events, and work with minimal supervision
Experience/ Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of professional work experience in a related field
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license
