Phoenix Pro Connect is currently seeking an experienced Director of Destination Experience Development to represent a luxury global company. This leadership role within the Product Development department is responsible for overseeing and enhancing a variety of destination experience programs.Key Responsibilities:Lead Concept Development:
  • Supervise the design and implementation of destination experiences across multiple regions, including EMEA, CARIB, and APAC.
  • Develop and refine programs such as shore excursions, beach experiences, and in-port transportation to ensure they adhere to the highest standards of luxury.
Collaboration and Partnership:
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development, Voyage Design, and Shore Excursions teams to recommend development roadmaps and select regional operators.
  • Ensure the alignment of itineraries with destination experiences at the voyage level to ensure a cohesive and luxurious guest journey.
  • Partner with Hotel Operations Leadership to conceptualize shore excursions, select Tour Operators, and ensure the delivery of a global luxury experience.
Destination Expertise and Communication:
  • Develop comprehensive, concierge-level knowledge of all destinations while working with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication across digital platforms and marketing programs.
  • Lead the narrative development for guest communications, ensuring consistent brand voice throughout the customer journey.
Program Review and Enhancement:
  • Conduct audits and reviews of delivered destination experiences to identify opportunities for product enhancement and evolution.
  • Establish and maintain a knowledge base of destination insights for Concierge teams, ensuring they have the resources to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Guest Journey and Event Development:
  • Influence the guest journey across all land programs, including marquee events, pre and post-cruise experiences, and overland programs.
  • Support digital content development for destination programs, ensuring alignment with the overall guest experience narrative.
Brand Alignment and Synergies:
  • Seek opportunities to create synergies with luxury properties and global community partners to enhance the brand's presence and guest experience.
Budget and Contract Management:
  • Assist in seamless contract negotiations, venue booking, and program development, ensuring a smooth handover to operational teams.
  • Participate in the department's budget process, ensuring alignment with financial planning standards.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in hospitality, travel, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years in luxury travel, with expertise in managing complex destination experience programs.
  • Skills: strong analytical skills with extreme attention to detail, exceptional communication and customer service abilities, the ability to influence decisions, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and a hands-on approach with a focus on guest satisfaction and problem-solving.
