The Bio-Med Buyer II primary function is to develop and lead category sourcing projects and assist with daily needs of a given category spend. These activities include but are not limited to; leading/supporting the strategic sourcing process, execution of national, regional, and/or local agreements to include bidding, negotiations, supplier selection/development, and contract management. Will be responsible for developing purchase orders in accordance with specifications, requirements, work statements and terms and conditions. Prepares/reviews proposals, develops evaluation criteria, selects or recommends suppliers, creates electronic purchase orders (ePO) files for review, prepares awards and administers resulting purchase orders. Negotiates additions, deletions, or modifications to purchase orders and resolves invoicing issues. Follow and execute to established and approved procurement policies and procedures in order to provide the best value consistent with quality and service requirements while maintaining good supplier relations. Ensure compliance to policies and procedures in addition to training the team as needed. Processes and organizes purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents for Accounts Payable.
Education and Work Experience
1. Three (3) years minimum experience as a Buyer in a healthcare industry required in addition to two (2) or more years of related experience within procurement or in process improvement.2. Knowledge of the acquisition of equipment, supplies and policies and procedures in healthcare.3. Bachelors Degree preferred. 4. High School Diploma or equivalent required.5. Strong planning and organization, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
6. Must demonstrate analytical, mathematical, decision-making, and negotiating skills.
7. Strong written and verbal communications skills
8. Strong computer skills (MS Office)

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $21.00 to $28.35. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
