Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing food items, operating the cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized deli area. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and hot foods
- Ensure food quality and freshness by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions accurately
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their orders and answering any questions they may have
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Stock shelves, refrigerators, and display cases with deli products
- Follow all safety and health guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a deli or food service setting is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to operate a cash register accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors
