Picture Show Entertainment L L C is Hiring an Assistant Manager Near Berlin, CT

Job Responsibilities

  • Consistently create a welcoming environment for guests by greeting, anticipating needs, exceeding expectations and implementing creative solutions to provide exceptional service.
  • Be the definition of a “servant leader” and assist with training and development of staff by leading by example and exemplifying a positive demeanor.
  • Supervise, motivate, and coach staff to sustain exceptional levels of performance and appropriately counsel staff when they are not meeting expectations.
  • Perform daily opening and closing, operational and administrative duties.
  • Ensure facility is clean, safe, and in good repair. Constantly monitor theater, property and equipment. Must be able to perform minor repairs around the theater and troubleshoot and perform minor repairs of equipment.
  • Understand and demonstrate the desired behaviors for all staff duties including driving sales, cash management, inventory, and follow-up with guests.
  • Follow required company procedures in the event of a guest or associate incident.
  • Learn and enforce cash handling procedures. Responsible for assisting with cash drawers, petty cash, and deposits.
  • Prepare daily communications and run reports to monitor theater performance. This includes processing daily corporate office or supervisor requests via phone and email.
  • Assist with the operation of projection equipment including projectors, servers and sound equipment. Perform basic troubleshooting and bulb changes.
  • Conduct regular in-theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and help maintain a safe quality environment within the auditoriums.
  • Monitor schedules, breaks, and daily staffing needs based on attendance. Follow and enforce all applicable labor laws.
  • Assist in inventory process by accurately counting inventory, placing and receiving orders, and limiting inventory loss or waste.
  • Inspecting backpacks and packages in compliance with the company Bag Policy when applicable.
  • Interacts with customers for improved service in the theatre.
  • Enforces and supports all Picture Show policies and procedures.
  • Performs other work-related duties as directed and assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with staff, guests, vendors and corporate.
  • Customer service experience required. Supervisory and theater experience preferred.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and following through in a timely manner.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Stand, walk, lift, twist, and bend on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to work late nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office programs and the ability to learn and operate a Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • High School or G.E.D. graduate and at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Accurate cash handling and mathematics skills.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance and adhere to the employee schedule.
