Description :
JOB PURPOSE : Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and other areas of perioperative services for all patient populations.
Functions as an RN first assistant during operative and other invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum in accordance with scope of practice credentials, privileges, experience, education and competency verification.
At times is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR in the role of an RN circulator.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED : Graduate from a school of nursing. Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, which includes didactic and clinical components.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS : Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
MINIMUM LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW : Current registered nurse licensure in state of Georgia.
