  • Ensure seamless operation of computer networks within the organization by vigilantly monitoring network performance, promptly troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective solutions to optimize network efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain robust network security measures to safeguard against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats, including the configuration of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and enforcement of security policies.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, and servers, while managing network protocols and addressing schemes to facilitate smooth communication between devices.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for all network systems, configurations, and maintenance activities, ensuring transparency and accessibility for all stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support to end-users for network-related issues, offering assistance with network connectivity problems, device configurations, and troubleshooting network software.
  • Implement comprehensive backup solutions and develop disaster recovery plans to uphold data integrity and minimize downtime in the event of network failures or data loss incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records of network configurations, upgrades, and maintenance activities, generating reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate current network infrastructure and forecast future requirements based on evolving business needs, determining bandwidth requirements, upgrading hardware, and expanding network capacity as necessary.
  • Ensure that network software, including operating systems and applications, remains up to date with the latest security patches and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities and enhance performance.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in networking technology and best practices, providing training to staff on network usage, security protocols, and troubleshooting procedures to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with vendors to procure network equipment and services, negotiate contracts, and coordinate support and maintenance activities to ensure optimal network functionality.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in travel requirements, being able to travel throughout the company's service area on short notice, with occasional overnight stays as needed, averaging 1-3 days of travel per month.
