Position: Server/Busser/Food Runner
Location: Pietro's Italian-American Pizzeria/Restaurant
Reports To: Manager

Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Pietro's Italian-American Pizzeria/Restaurant. The ideal candidate will be a versatile team player capable of fulfilling the roles of a server, busser, and food runner. This individual will ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests by providing prompt, efficient, and courteous service.

Key Responsibilities:

Server:

• Greet and seat customers, presenting menus and daily specials.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner.
• Check in with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
• Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tables and dining areas.

Busser:

• Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently.
• Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to tables.
• Refill water glasses and other beverages as needed.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including floors and restrooms.
• Assist with the preparation and setting up of dining areas for service.

Food Runner:

• Expedite food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables.
• Ensure that all food orders are accurate and presented to guests in a timely manner.
• Communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff.
• Assist with food preparation and plating as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized food pick-up area.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role in a restaurant setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to navigate stairs and tight spaces in a busy restaurant environment.
