Payroll Lead will oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will work in a high-volume office, processing and managing changes for over 8000 employees. You will work collaboratively and with a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, demonstrating precision and expertise, in order to maximize efficiency and productivity. Under the general direction of the Payroll Manager, coordinates the processing of multiple payrolls for the health system. The Payroll Lead is responsible for the timely processing and auditing necessary to produce an accurate and timely payroll. In addition, the Payroll Lead provides positive and outstanding customer service in responding to internal and external payroll inquiries and issues, as well as providing training and guidance to payroll specialists.

• Current knowledge of Wage and Hour laws in a hospital environment and payroll best practices.
• Multi Company Payroll processing.
• Knowledge and experience processing payroll in-house system for over 8000 employees.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize work and be flexible with changing priorities.
• Attention to detail.
• Intermediate skills in Excel, Word.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Required Experience

Required:

• High School Education/GED some college preferred.
• Five years’ payroll experience using an automated time and attendance system.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Excellent communication skills including correct grammar and spelling.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent customer service skills. 

 Preferred:

• ADP experience preferred.
• Healthcare/hospital experience preferred.
