PIH Health is Hiring an Endocrinology Physician Near Santa Fe, CA
Position SummaryThe Endocrinology Physician coordinates a course of treatment for patients with a variety of glandular and metabolic imbalances while working with an inter-disciplinary team of nurses, physician assistants, dieticians, surgeons, pathologists and pharmacists. The Endocrinology Physician will act as an expert in endocrine disease management and prevention.
Required SkillsSPECIFIC SKILLS NEEDED
- Demonstrated expertise in endocrine diagnoses: assessment, intervention, and patient care management. Knowledgeable regarding an Endocrinology Physician scope of practice.
- Experience performing and interpreting thyroid ultrasound and ultrasound guided thyroid fine needle biopsies.
- Demonstrated experience with obesity and metabolic syndrome in a clinic setting preferred.
- Preferred training in endocrine stimulation testing of at least 10-12 a year.
- Ability to consult for endocrine assessment of 10 patients within 24 hours of requests.
- Fellow or certification from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal and conflict resolution abilities.
- Independent performer.
- Current California Medical license
- Graduate from an accredited Medical School
- Graduate form an accredited Internal Medicine Residency program.
- Graduate from an accredited Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship program.
- Evidence of continuing education and self-development to support license requirements
- Board Certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine
- Subspecialty Certification from the American Board of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism: Board certified or board eligible
