The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong work ethic and be a intellectually curious.
Responsibilities
- General Ledger Accounting: Manage and oversee the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Assist with Closings: Support the finance team in completing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings.
- Financial Report Preparation: Prepare financial reports to provide accurate and timely financial data.
- Implement and Maintain Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal control processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Fixed Asset Management: Handle Capex projects, manage depreciation schedules, and oversee asset disposals.
- Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
- Tax Reporting: Prepare and remit monthly sales tax reports.
- Inventory Management: Oversee monthly steel consumption reconciliation, schedule and coordinate material cycle counts, and troubleshoot issues with production leads as necessary.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Prior experience with Sales Tax reporting and regulations preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365
