Pine Bluff School District is Hiring a CTE Computer Science Instructor Near Bluff, AR
The Computer Science Instructor is responsible for providing instruction on a wide range of computer science courses, such as the design and function of computers or operations and research analysis. The Computer Science instructor will implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for secondary students and support the designated curriculum area.
Bachelor’s degree with equivalent content in computing/computer science
One (1) or more years successful classroom teaching experience (preferred)
Valid Arkansas Teacher Certification with a computer science endorsement
Demonstrated skill and dexterity in working with business machines and equipment
Demonstrates commitment to all aspects of computing both in their subject specialism and in other areas of the curriculum
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Instructs students through effective differentiated teaching methods to ensure comprehension and mastery of content
Prepares engaging and challenging lesson plans
Reviews and researches all curriculum requirements for the particular grade level and coordinates with other computer science instructors in the high school
Evaluate and grade students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, and paper while maintaining student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
Enhances course content in the form of remediation, modification and enrichment
Prepares appropriate instructional aids and display materials to enhance learning
Instructs pupils in importance and significance of accuracy, neatness, efficiency, resourcefulness, and good work habits in obtaining and retaining employment in business
Identifies pupil needs, and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems
Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and/or self-selected professional growth activities
Effectively manages the learning environment so that it is conducive to learning
Assists with student management through the building, grounds and/or other facilities and effectively communicates with students, parents and other stakeholders via verbal and written communication
Collaborates with other teachers to support student achievement and student retention
Performs other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor
