ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist in our Rock Hill, SC office. This role has responsibility for interfacing with the accounting team and managing Accounts Receivable and Invoicing. The role will be highly involved in collections from all clients – including top tier clients. It is important to have a working knowledge of Business Central and ConnectWise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and perform Invoicing and Accounts Receivable activities from our billing system (ConnectWise) as well as manage collections and A/R processing of our top clients.

• Maintenance of A/R process with an emphasis on collections.
• Prepare and review client invoices in a timely manner to ensure accuracy and correctness.
• Review, verify, and resolve discrepancies in client invoices.
• Monitor bank lock box deposits.
• Post cash receipts of client payments to ERP system.
• Reconcile A/R to ensure accuracy while verifying all payments are accounted for.
• Maintain proper record retention of all A/R and invoicing documents.
• Create or maintain existing SOPs as necessary for assigned functions.
• Promptly respond to client requests for invoices/statements.
• Generate collections status reports and management of A/R activities.
• Other projects as needed.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma with 2-5 years direct job experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
• Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets, accounting software and ERP systems (Excel, Business Central and ConnectWise, preferred)
• Proven working experience as accounts receivable/collections clerk, accounts receivable/collections manager or accountant.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
• Proficiency in MS Office
