Job Overview: Operations Specialist

As an integral part of our home care company's Central Operations team, the Operations Specialist role is multifaceted and pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our operational processes. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive support across a spectrum of projects, ranging from short-term tasks to long-term strategic initiatives. This role requires a combination of analytical prowess, project management skills, and a keen eye for detail to navigate the complexities of our operations landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Your role will involve contributing to various projects critical to Central Operations, such as compiling and analyzing productivity reports, managing monthly payer changes, conducting time studies to optimize resource allocation, and developing actionable plans to address operational challenges.
  • Project Coordination: From project inception to completion, you will play a central role in orchestrating project activities, ensuring that timelines are adhered to and project objectives are achieved. This will involve liaising with cross-functional teams, allocating resources effectively, and mitigating potential roadblocks.
  • Facilities Oversight: You will oversee services such as security, cleaning, and maintenance to ensure a safe and functional environment for each branch and home office. This will involve coordinating with various service providers, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Real Estate Support: You will work with Executive leadership in site selection, design and layout, as well as supporting contract execution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Your role will support Operations teams, supporting to: analyze processes, identify areas for improvement, and lead initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve quality. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement, you help the organization achieve long-term sustainability and competitive advantage.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): You will assist in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize processes and enhance operational efficiency. By documenting best practices and protocols, you will contribute to the creation of a cohesive operational framework that supports our organizational goals.
  • Communications: Effective communication is vital in fostering collaboration and alignment within the operations divisions of the company. You will be responsible for disseminating relevant information, facilitating discussions, and ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed of key developments and initiatives.
  • Field Support: In addition to your central operational duties, you will provide invaluable support to our branches across the state. Whether it's troubleshooting operational issues, providing training and guidance, or offering hands-on assistance during peak periods, your expertise will be instrumental in driving operational excellence at the local level.
