- Responsible for reviewing home equity loan requests and assisting Credit Union members with closing their loan.
- Handle file set-up for home equity loans which includes providing appropriate disclosures to members, speaking with members about their loan terms, and reviewing the loan for closing
- Perform daily review on the Home Equity pipeline
- Process Closing Docs for home equity loans
- Process Property Condition Reports for Home Equity Loans
- Process Verification of Employment for Home Equity Loan applicants
- Perform booking of home equity loans
- Input home equity loan data into daily Excel spreadsheets
- Perform other duties as assigned
- The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience, preferably in a credit union environment
- Experience in mortgage lending
- Previous customer service experience
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
- Knowledge of Loan Link and Episys System
- Ability to exercise excellent member and customer service skills
- Skilled in above average interpersonal and communication skills and professional telephone manners
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and analyze data
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team in a diverse environment
- Ability to interact professionally with all employees and members
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt well to change
- Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
- Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels both verbally and written
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
