Pinnacle Interventional & Physicians is Hiring a MEDICAL ASSISTANT Full-time Near Monterey, CA

Well established specialty clinic in Neurology, Neuro IR, and Interventional Radiology, is looking for 2 medical assistants for Front End and Back End.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer questions and check clinic faxes.
  • Prepare patients for clinic visits, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance and eligibility, and gathering medical history records.
  • Greet patients, obtain vital signs, obtain patient medical history, chief complaints, HPI, etc. and document in the EHR system.
  • Reconcile patient medication and allergy and document in the EHR
  • Coordinate patient referrals, schedule follow up appointments, and communicate follow-up instructions to patients.
  • Clean exam room after visit.
  • Schedule surgery at hospitals.
  • Demonstrate empathy and sensitivity while interacting with patients, ensuring their comfort and confidentiality.
  • Adhere to all legal, regulatory, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Cross covers other clinic responsibilities
  • Provide excellent patient service by addressing patient concerns and ensuring their comfort.
  • Assist with coding and billing processes to ensure accurate documentation and reimbursement.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant program preferred
- Previous experience working in a hospital or medical office setting is a plus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Proficiency in performing vital signs measurements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Spanish and Chinese, Mandarin language preferred

- Computer and typing skills required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
