Pinnacle Staffing Group - Wichita is Hiring a Production Designer Near Wichita, KS

Position Description Summary:

We are seeking a Production Designer who has a high level of attention to detail and an ability to develop a strong working knowledge of ORB product. This individual must be able to manage and prepare art files to include legal and licensor requirements, as well as prep files for proofing and production. This individual will work closely with out Production Manager, Product Managers, Production team, Design team and Licensing Approvals team.

Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Account Abilities:

  • Create guides specific to each technique and embossing method used
  • Create Art Specs needed as a visual reference of product construction for communication with factories and licensors
  • Learn and be fluent in ORB NetSuite item setup
  • Create Art Specs / guides and see problems that may arise in production
  • Understand color and tome, typography, size and cropping specifications required by licensors
  • Develop a knowledge of product types, finishes, and all relevant spec details
  • Work with Production Manager and Implementation Designers to ensure accurate file set up
  • Work within production schedule to maintain appropriate output of designs as prescribed
  • Identify issues that arise from initial designer files and needs bring them up to required spec
  • Manage multiple projects within timelines and creative parameters
  • Work with the needs of Licensing Approvals for legal lines and POP labels
  • Data entry of production specifications in NetSuite database
  • Create physical mockups to send to customer and/or licensor as needed
  • Manage art files and send to printer for large-scale printing
  • Help prepare for customer meetings as needed
  • clean, Resize and organize images of products
  • Photograph products to ORB identified standards
  • Work with E-commerce and Production Manager to meet deadlines for both groups
  • Must be able to process and average of 25-30 items per day in production

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage 06a process data entry into NetSuite
  • Idea Vault, Product Showcase and Product Guide updates and maintenance

Requirements:

  • Associates or bachelor's degree in graphic design or Art & Printmaking with 1 years' work experience in related field or 3 years' work experience in related field

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficient in Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat) and Microsoft (Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Think independently to problem solve and manage daily priorities
  • Knowledge in file setup and prep for print/decor product production
  • Team player who is fluent in the fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator with ability to create detailed, organized print-ready files
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks, communicate ideas effectively
  • Ability to understand priorities of the different teams and working efficiently and accurately to meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
