Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Geriatric Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Geriatric Nursing Assistant will provide direct patient care and support to medical staff in a variety of healthcare settings. Working in Glen Burnie, Annapolis, Baltimore City and Baltimore County, Clinton, Elkton & Harford County Maryland. We primary staff facilities Bonus $300 after 90 days
Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient health status
- Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Perform basic medical procedures such as catheter care and phlebotomy
- Support patients in outpatient and assisted living settings
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in various departments including the Operating Room (OR)
- Provide care for patients in long-term care facilities, senior care centers, and behavioral health units
Qualifications
- Certification as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant or completion of a GNA program
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices
- Experience in caregiving, particularly in long-term care or assisted living facilities
- Ability to perform catheter care, phlebotomy, and other basic medical procedures
- Strong communication skills and empathy towards patients
- Willingness to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
