Position: Outreach (Business Development) Specialist

Location: Jenkintown, PA; Hybrid 2 days remote (Mon & Fri), 3 days in-office (Tues-Thurs); Fully remote if not in the Philadelphia area

Compensation: Commensurate with Experience

Mission of the Position:

The Outreach Specialist will report into the Director of Outreach. The mission of the role is to support the Regional Outreach team which is responsible for recruiting high-caliber students by engaging with students and families through presentations, events, and follow-up conversations in the US and the possibility of several foreign countries. The Outreach Specialist will increase the Pioneer programs’ selectivity and reputation among the highest caliber high school students through research and assessing the caliber of institutions and organizations. The role will assist students and parents in understanding Pioneer’s creative, unique, and challenging educational programs at all stages from early informing and registration prior to and during the application process. The Outreach Specialist will provide comprehensive support to students prior to and throughout the program as well as work cross-functionally to improve processes and the student experience. This role will support the Outreach team by preparing regional travel itineraries and handling all logistics related to inquiry responses, conferences, connection maintenance, etc.

Pioneer Academics seeks a staff member with experience in school admissions or education-related academic network development. We welcome those with experience working with students and families with an innovative mindset and an entrepreneurial approach to education. 

Key Criteria:

• Graduate of a prominent American university with a bachelor’s degree or higher
• Student-centric mindset and passion for outstanding education experiences
• One to three years of business development (Outreach) support work experience in education, preferably in higher education or secondary education.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills for working with students, faculty and educational administrators
• Highly self-motivated and directed with ability to work independently as well as coordinating and supporting a team
