Position Details: Our client, a world-leading Pharmaceutical Company in Groton, CT is currently looking for an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join their expanding team. Job Title: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Duration: 12 months contract, extendable up to 36 months Location: Groton, CT Rate Range 85-91/hr Note: The client has the right-to-hire you as a permanent employee at any time during or after the end of the contract. You may participate in the company group medical insurance plan Job Description: The CW APRN will provide clinical and occupational health and wellness services to colleagues within their regulated scope of practice. Organizational Relationships: Reports to Global Colleague Wellness Management Works with the site EHS team Interacts with site business groups Experience/Education: Master's Degree in nursing with APRN Board Certification COHN-S preferred Suggest a minimum of 5 years' experience as a CW professional Demonstrates experience in acute episodic care, wellness care and counseling of adults Proficient in the use of electronic medical record keeping systems desirable Major Responsibilities: Coordinates CW clinical operations, including medical surveillance, OSHA recordkeeping, facility operations and patient care activities such as triage, counseling, patient education, sick or emergency visits, first aid, and other activities as needed. Provides preventive medicine and wellness services/counseling; supports site health promotion and disease prevention programs. Performs Disability and Workers' Compensations RTW case management and other case management functions as deemed necessary. Documents patient data in paper and electronic medical database(s), as applicable per standard protocols. Oversite as the site's Principal Investigator for Groton's Research Support Program. Technical Competency Description: CW Technical Competency #1: Knowledge of CW Regulations As applied to (in US/PR): 1. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) 2. Worker's Compensation 3. OSHA, may include recordkeeping 4. Americans with Disability Act (ADA), in United States 5. Family Medical Leave Act 6. CLIA 7. Federal, state, or local public health regulations 8. Pharmaceutical Human Resources policies and procedures CW Technical Competency #2: Risk Avoidance/Minimization/Control As applied to: 1. Diagnosis and treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses 2. Preventive care, immunizations 3. Diagnosis and treatment of non-occupational cases 4. Universal precautions 5. Wellness programs 6. Ergonomics 7. Employee Assistance Programs 8. Clinical procedures 9. Case Management 10. Training on appropriate (e.g., site-specific) CW procedures, practices, policies, concepts Must Have: Connecticut license , CPR Certified, and Malpractice insurance Optional: Respirator use is optional and update to the candidate.
