Position Summary:
The Registered Dietitian coordinates nutritional care of patients by completing nutritional assessments, developing and implementing care plans and documenting dietary information about patients. Provides guidance and collaborates with the Food Service Director in the provision of food and nutrition services.Responsibilities and Duties:
Reviews menus meeting requirements for variety and rotation of menu items.
Completes consults for at risk residents including but not limited to tube feeders, TPN, ESRD, diabetics, complex wounds, and develops plan of care.
Monitors resident weights and participates in resident weight committees at each facility quarterly or more frequently.
Participates in the QAPI Committee at each facility quarterly or more frequently.
Monitors and reviews MDS assessments and care plans for at risk residents completed by facility staff.
Monitors all facilities compliance with food safety and sanitation practices monthly and provides feedback to NHA and Kitchen Manager
Identifies opportunities for improvement in service and quality, and works at the facility and corporate level to develop processes to enhance resident nutrition and satisfaction.
Other duties as requested
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or other advanced degree in dietetics
Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
License or certification by the state
1 year experience in a SNF, Assisted Living or CCRC preferred
