Job Details Job Location Littleton - Littleton, CO Position Type Full Time Education Level None Salary Range $19.00 - $19.00 Hourly Travel Percentage None Job Category Transportation Description This position will be responsible for the safe and timely local delivery of products from our retail locations to our customers. This driver will be tasked with driving and maintaining the truck that will be assigned to them, as well as working closely with our team of dispatchers who are planning routes and tracking deliveries. Successful candidates must have a clean driving record and must pass a background, drug, and physical. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: GENERAL:

TRUCK MAINTENANCE:
Perform daily inspections on vehicle such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires, pre-trip and post-trip duties and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately
Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order
Oversee the loading & unloading of trucks, or help others with loading and unloading
Verify contents against shipping invoices or inventories to ensure it is complete and accurate
Secure equipment for transport using company approved materials
DELIVERIES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes
Ability to read route sheets and service each customer on route or assigned by the dispatcher
Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption
Document each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system and obtain receipts or signatures for services when required
Responsible for customer satisfaction including on-time delivery of undamaged goods
Be prompt and courteous to the customer, co-workers, and everyone you interact with
Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with customers and the public
Maintain daily contact with supervisor or dispatcher to receive delivery or pickup instructions
SAFETY:
Follow appropriate safety policies and procedures at all times
Obey all traffic laws, including but not limited to driving within posted speed limits, stopping and looking for traffic at all stop signs
Report defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicle
Operate equipment, such as CB radios, Tablets, and telephones, to exchange necessary information with dispatcher or manager
Check conditions of truck dump bed after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage
Follow accident protocol as outlined by safety team including reporting incidents to supervisor
Comply with company regulations and rules
Observe OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations
Proven safe and responsible driving record with personal or company vehicle with no serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years and no DWI/DUI in last 10 years
Consistent work history
Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Medical card required
Experience with hauling bulk dirt, sand, rocks, mulch, and landscape material a plus
Prefer candidates with proficient oral and written communication skills, technical skills, and functional skills
Basic mechanical skills to perform regular vehicle inspections

Exposure to outside weather, including frequent hot and cold conditions, as well as exposure to fumes, vibration, and airborne particles. Noise level is usually moderate
Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts, so employee will be required to follow basic safety precautions
Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturday and Sunday as needed, 40-55 hour work week
Requires the employee to sit, climb, bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Will be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment
