Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School is Hiring a SPEECH & LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST Near South Hadley, MA
- Deep understanding of dual needs and appropriate diagnostic assessments
- Managing a range of learner profiles including mild/moderate special needs and atypical learning profiles
- Working with students on the autism spectrum, collecting data and conducting applied behavior analysis
- Administering and interpreting formal and informal assessments, writing IEPs, supporting staff in the implementation of plans and monitoring plans for success
- Create assistive technologies and augmentative communication plans as needed, maintain inventory of assistive technology equipment and train staff on appropriate use of assistive technology
- Master’s degree
- Speech & Language Pathologist license from the State of Massachusetts Board of Health
- Ma Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certification/license as a Speech Pathologist-all levels
2024-2025 school year consists of 180 school days plus 5 professional development/curriculum work days and a thirty-five hour work week that includes, on average, three class blocks per day of collaborative/independent work time.
