Piper Companies is Hiring an Ammonia Refrigeration Technician Near Wilson, NC
Piper Companies is actively seeking an Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to join a state of the art manufacturing facility in Wilson, North Carolina. This organization leverages groundbreaking biotechnology to cultivate sustainable, high-quality food products. The Ammonia Refrigeration Technician will support the operation & maintenance of systems and equipment at the site. This is a full time (FTE) opportunity with full benefits.
Responsibilities of the Ammonia Refrigeration Technician:
- Perform regular equipment and process inspections to help build out how the plant will tackle the preventative maintenance schedule
- Support the operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems, perform inspections to prevent leaks and ensure system integrity
- Assist with building repairs including electrical and structural components
- Perform regular safety audits and follow best safety practices
- Perform quality work and take initiative to develop expertise within multiple systems
Qualifications of the Ammonia Refrigeration Technician:
- Experience in facilities maintenance, ideally in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration (NH3) systems and/or RETA certifications
- Entry or intermediate experience in HVAC systems, no certification required
Compensation of the Ammonia Refrigeration Technician:
- Negotiable depending on relevant years of industry experience and ammonia experience or certifications
