Piper Companies is seeking a Scrum Master to join a leading global asset management company supporting fortune 500 organizations based in Washington, DC. The Scrum Master will be responsible for guiding and supporting a global, cross-functional team working to deliver business critical projects. This position will be hybrid 3 days per week in Washington, DC!Responsibilities of Scrum Master include:
Scrum Master, Piper Companies, Global Asset Management, Fortune 500, Washington DC, Hybrid Role, Sprint Backlog, Digital Web Project, Product Owners, Product Backlog, Status Reporting, Scrum Ceremonies, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Retrospectives, Release Planning, Sprint Goals, Agile Processes, Communication Skills, Software Development Teams, Technical Leadership, Agile Estimation, Planning Techniques, Computer Science, SAFe Framework, CSM Certification.
- Work collaboratively with Software Development teams to ensure that a sprint backlog is ready for Sprint Planning.
- Lead and own the lifecycle of a digital web project
- Support and educate Product Owners, especially around the refinement and maintenance of the Product Backlog.
- Provide accurate status reporting of performance of sprints and projects.
- Facilitate scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint retrospectives and team-based release planning.
- Work with the team to define sprint goals and work closely with the team to ensure delivery of sprint goals and team commitments.
- Assume a high level of ownership for the agile processes adopted within your team.
- Ability to clearly communicate in all forms including email, phone, documents and in person.
- 5 years of experience managing software development teams.
- Technical software development leadership skills
- In-depth knowledge of agile estimation and planning techniques.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related degree.
- Extensive experience practicing SAFe
- Scrum master certification is a must (CSM)
- Salary Range: $120,000 – $140,000
