Piper Companies is Hiring a Software Engineer (Backend) Near Los Angeles, CA
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to develop ground satellite operations software for our client in Los Angeles, CA. This is a Hybrid position. The candidate will collaborate with satellite operators and other software engineers, to understand requirements, implement new features, and troubleshoot issues. This position is for a self-starter who has initiative and wants to build something awesome!
Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency in Python, GraphQL, Kubernetes, and Terraform (or relevant IaC tools)
- Strong knowledge of containerized applications and serverless architecture
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, S3, EFS/EBS, EC2, and RDS
- Familiarity with containerized software deployment within Kubernetes clusters
- Strong knowledge of designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting APIs services, distributed NoSQL and relational databases, caching systems, event-driven and multi-tier architectures
- Strong knowledge of task automation and CI/CD pipeline building, preferably with GitHub actions but not required
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub or similar framework for version control
- 3 Years of relevant experience
- Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or alike field
- $140,000 - $180,000 *Depending on Experience*
