- Provide different protocols and guidelines for the care of the animals in the shelter
- Provide leadership of the team for medical treatment of animals
- Be able to develop outside relationships with foster parents for any after-hours support and care
- Provide decisions regarding the shelter's medicine as it pertains to the shelter as a whole
- Bring high level medical and surgical care in compliance with ASV guidelines
- Be able to perform multiple types of spay and neuter surgeries
- Follow all state and federal laws, and regulations regarding veterinary medicine
- Assist with budget planning and goal tracking
- Doctors in Veterinary Medicine with 8-15 years of experience
- Preferred experience in advance training or certification of shelter medicine
- Veterinary License issued in State of Florida or Out of State license depending on certain guidelines
- Current active DEA license or willingness to obtain one
- Rate Range:
- $160,000 - $200,000 *Depending on experience*
- Relocation package offered for anyone outside of Florida
- Comprehensive Benefit Package: Employee Medical/Dental/Vision
