Piper Maddox have been engaged on a Development Associate role, by a newly formed organization comprised of extremely well-established industry professionals with over 75 years of renewable energy experience. After a few high-profile organizational mergers and changes, these 4 industry vets decided to venture out on their own in January 2020 and create a new organization with an initial backing of over $50M for development capital and $80M to cover credit facilities, and have just had a further $100M for further expansion.

This is an opportunity to join a startup organization that has been operational for 3 years year and already has 11.5GW sourced projects. This organization only focuses on the large end of utility-scale with projects ranging from 300MW to 1GW per project.

This role will provide huge potential for growth in a very exciting start-up environment, that is already well-established in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Support on greenfield site acquisition for new projects
• Compliance and completion of key project contracts
• Managing the zoning and environmental process with state and local governments
• Support with regulatory/policy research and customer RFP response processes
• Complete project reporting and forecasting
• Organize due diligence for project acquisition

Requirements:

• Experience in siting/permitting
• Renewable energy industry experience
• Passionate about the renewable energy space
• Eager to learn, good communicator, driven and adaptable
• Bachelors degree
• Hybrid role to be based in Denver, San Diego, Phoenix or Utah
• Happy to travel to project site locations when needed
