Position Summary:
An Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing in Managing and directing resident care within the nursing department to maintain resident standards of care and ensure that each resident functions at his/her highest level.
Position Responsibilities of an ADON:
* Assists in the Coordination of resident care through departmental and appropriate staff committee meetings
* Ensures that staffing is adequate to meet State and Federal requirements
* Guides nursing department in adherence to all state and federal regulations
* Evaluates nursing personnel and affectively recommends disciplinary action according to HCF policy.
* Completes duties of Infection Control Nurse (PA)
* Ensures availability of nursing supplies and equipment
* Assumes responsibility for maintaining his/her own professional competence
* Evaluates overall delivery of resident care
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing. Current license as a Registered Nurse with the State Board of Nursing. CPR certification recommended.
