PIRE’s Southwest Center, located in Albuquerque, is currently engaged in federally-funded grants that are using community-engaged implementation science methods to 1) support New Mexico school-based health centers in implementing and scaling up practices that will enhance their care, services, and supports for student patients who identify as LGBTQ ; and 2) and a case management program for transgender and gender diverse people impacted by inequities in health, behavioral health, and housing.
We are seeking a Research Associate II to support the Principal Investigator and Senior Project Staff with implementing and coordinating research activities as well as assisting with the development of manuscripts and presentations. Responsibilities will include qualitative data collection, data management, qualitative analysis, IRB applications, and participant recruitment and retention within established project timelines and in accordance with project procedures and protocols. The Research Associate II may also interface directly with funding agencies, funding recipients, and other program partners to coordinate program activities. In this professional role, the ideal candidate must handle multiple project tasks simultaneously and fast-paced schedules with professionalism, maturity, poise, and confidence. Success in this role requires this person to have experience working with LGBTQ populations, conducting semi-structured interviews/focus groups, and coding and analyzing qualitative data. Knowledge of and/or experience writing and implementing federally-funded grants is preferred.
