Pittsburgh Family Practice is Hiring a Medical Assistant Bellevue Near Bellevue, PA

We are a busy Family Medicine office looking for an additional energetic, hard working individual to do both front desk and back office and help with general office duties. Previous doctor office experience is desirable but will train individual with good administrative and telephone skills. We have two offices but we are looking for someone primarily for our Bellevue office with occasional travel to our office near Mercy Hospital. The staff is friendly and helpful. Weekend hours can be offset with time off during the week. Free parking at both locations.

We are off all legal holidays.

Minimum qualifications are High School graduation and a valid PA driver's license

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour (plus generous bonuses)

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift (mostly)
  • Two weekends per month to 1pm (usually at time and a half

Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and gather insurance information
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, and assisting with any necessary paperwork
- Assist healthcare the doctor during patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by the doctor
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Perform basic laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures

Skills:

- If you finished 12 years of high school and graduated you can do this job - we will tech you what you need to know.
- Familiarity with general office work and equipment (eg phone system, copier, email, fax, filing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills

Requirements:
- High school diploma;
- Previous experience working in any office setting is preferred.
