Service Technician Job DescriptionSeeking an HVAC Service Technician to service the Cedar City, Utah area. This individual is responsible for the installation, retrofit and primarily the repair of HVAC/environmental control systems and light refrigeration.
Job Functions And Duties (other Duties May Be Assigned)
- HVAC service and troubleshooting. Work with or without supervision to complete assignments and gain knowledge of products/processes.
- Safety Minded. Aware of the many potential hazards associated with our industry.
- Supervisory responsibilities.
- Active Learning Skills. Understanding the essential need of new information and pursuing on-going training.
- Good communication skills. Good listener with complete tasks as instructed to help negotiate complex problems and deliver competent customer service solutions in an honest and believable manner.
- Team Minded. Enjoys helping others to succeed.
Education And Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to comprehend simple written and vocal instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.
- EPA refrigeration license
- Valid driver's license
- The employee is regularly required to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- The employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
- The employee is frequently required to walk, use hands and fingers to reach, feel, grasp, and manipulate; and be able to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include the ability to see well up close and at a distance, the ability to distinguish colors, good peripheral vision and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms and in possible extreme weather conditions.
- The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment.
- The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage) and vibration.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
- The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Daily travel requirements with rare overnight travel.
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
