Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure
The Senior Manager, Infrastructure will be responsible for coordinating the analysis, design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of all facets of the PKC NA Infrastructure. He or she plans, coordinates, and directs all daily operational activities of the infrastructure and network teams and provides oversight and solutions that enhance mission-critical operations of the infrastructure and networks within the US and Mexico.
The Senior Manager, Infrastructure will report to and work closely with the Director of Technology by identifying and implementing cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the business. This position supports the strategy, leadership, and day-to-day management of the IT organization inclusive of cloud, network infrastructure, server infrastructure, unified communications, and elements of overall security of PKC NA. This position also has the responsibility of coordinating the identification and design of both the current and future technical solutions associated with infrastructure, unified communications, and day-to-day operational support.
Your tasks.
  • Lead the IT team and assist in the development and maintenance of the IT department’s strategic road map, ensuring that information technology capabilities continually support the overall business’s goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of applicable IT policies and procedures. that enable strong performance, security, and risk-management capabilities.
  • Explore new technologies, as appropriate and in conjunction with, the Director of IT.
  • Oversee the enterprise architecture and day-to-day support of the infrastructure and unified communications equipment to ensure a high level of performance by the PKC NA organization.
  • Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery within the team, as well as the recommendation and implementation of new investments throughout the technology infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the oversight of the entire network and system infrastructure ensuring proper configuration, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of cloud, firewalls, networks, servers, data/file encryption, and internet/intranet connections.
  • Mentor key IT personnel, promote professional growth, and readying them for the assumption of expanded roles and responsibilities within the organization.
  • Consult regarding the selection, implementation, and upgrade of the business’s hardware, software/applications, and services. Where applicable, oversee the implementation and documentation of a viable business recovery strategy for the purpose of resuming operations of system architecture in the event of a disaster.
  • Oversee the continuous development and enforcement of the overall security architecture and program to combine all aspects of systems, communications, and data security throughout the PKC NA IT infrastructure. These procedures and controls must ensure that information, communications, and data are secure and in compliance with the security and storage regulations of the business.
  • Oversee the process and team members in the analysis, enhancement, and tailoring of current practices and existing systems to increase operating efficiencies as well as reduce and cut costs within the business.
  • Ensure consistency and maintainability of existent infrastructure environments through the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of well documented standards and procedures for the implementation of technical solutions.
  • Coordinate with other members of the IT leadership team, the development of both the operational and capital budgets to address the needs of various areas of the IT organization. Ensure adherence to overall financial objectives of the Infrastructure Team and coordinate with the other IT leadership in managing the annual departmental expenditures.
  • Build a collaborative culture with other IT leadership as well as, with peers throughout the PKC NA organization. This collaboration must also occur on a global organizational level.
  • Work closely with the Director of IT in the business technology planning process as well as the analysis of departmental efficiencies and effectiveness. Additionally work closely with the customer support team in gathering consumer feedback and developing insights that will lead to the improvement of IT services within this area.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the existing sites, services, and support provided by the Infrastructure Team. Analyze complex business requirements and make recommendations to the Director of IT for technical solutions, ensuring that these solutions are aligned with the overall business vision, mission, and direction.
  • Lead the IT department in the maintenance of knowledge within the Infrastructure Team, as well as, coordinating the retention of core knowledge with other IT leaders. This will include both best practices and the adoption of suitable trends.
  • Perform similar duties as appropriate for the proper execution of duties and duties as assigned by the Director of IT or the Employer.
  • Work closely with Motherson Technical Services (parent company) to achieve synergies & cooperation by fostering close business relationships to deploy & support critical infrastructure services .
Your profile.
  • Education and Experience:
    • BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related field
    • MA in Computer Science or Business Management preferred
    • Minimum of 10 years in working experience in a senior IT position within a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
    • Prefer 10 years experience working in a senior infrastructure or operations field leadership role
    • Prefer previous role in Manufacturing environment with Information Technology experience
  • Skill/ knowledge requirements:
    • Provides technical expertise and guidance to staff as appropriate.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments with high quality and on-time completion.
    • Expert understanding of network infrastructure, unified communication, telecommunications, cloud, server, and back-up technologies.
    • Experience with disaster recovery planning and planning and implementation of data storage solutions.
    • Bilingual ability (Speak, Read, and Write) a plus, English/Spanish.
  • Business/Technical Knowledge:
    • Highly knowledgeable in enterprise level Cloud technologies and be competnet in defect tracking and agile management tools as well as Ivanti, Manage Engine, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, and SolarWinds.
    • Strong knowledge of network technology platforms to include Fortinet hardware, Cisco hardware, & HP Aruba access points as well as required security access controls.
    • Strong knowledge of server technology platforms to include VMware as well as backup and replication services such as Nutanix and Veeam.
    • Strong knowledge of cloud technology to include AWQ & Azura cloud environments.

    • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
