We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer PE/EIT for an opportunity to work on diverse building projects through all phases. This is an opportunity to experience a wide variety of project types and have the opportunity to grow and make a difference with a small Architectural Engineering firm.

The Structural Engineer will perform structural engineering duties to meet company and client needs under the supervision of the Sr Structural Engineer and/or the Director of A&E, while pursuing necessary training for Professional Engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Design load-bearing structures or structural elements.
2. Perform analysis of building materials for use in construction.
3. Ensure projects comply with applicable codes and regulations.
4. Conduct site visits and record construction observations, write site visit reports.
5. Provide reports detailing reviews and assessments of damages to the structure.
6. Produce drawings (CAD, renderings, structural, architectural, etc.) as needed.
7. Coordinate disciplines of internal and external parties
8. Complete documentation necessary for EIT progression to Professional Engineer (self directed, seek necessary feedback).
9. Perform equipment maintenance as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering.
• Structural Engineering Experience 2 years.
• Experience with Commercial Building types.
• EIT certificate.
• AutoCAD capabilities for detail drawings.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• Proficient in computer skills and software related to the profession.
• Familiarity with RISA and/or other computer modeling programs.
• An understanding of construction and cost estimating a plus.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed for construction reviews.
